Ruscus Aculeatus L. is a small shrub from 30 to 80 cm. dark green in color, native to eastern Europe. In Europe it currently grows mainly in the south of the continent.

The main pharmacological action it presents is an anti-inflammatory and venotonic action (strengthens the walls of the veins to promote blood return). highly beneficial for people suffering from varicose veins and hemorrhoids.

Anti-inflammatory and venotonic properties: Ruscus extracts act on alpha and beta adrenergic receptors, causing a contraction of venous vessels. This effect has been verified experimentally.
